Welcome at the folk festival. The St. Rupert’s Day Fair (Rupertikirtag) is an annual celebration in honour of Salzburg’s patron saint. Held on the squares surrounding Salzburg Cathedral, this vibrant folk festival features a farmers’ market, plenty of fairground rides, craft demonstrations, musical entertainment and much more. The St. Rupert’s Day Fair is a treat for visitors large and small, young and old, and ranks among locals as one of the most popular festivals.
